When we face a mountain and climb it, it's not just the mountain we have climbed. We have conquered ourselves too. The title of this blog is a quote by Sir Edmund Hillary.
And you are reading my interpretation.
We climb 2 mountains. One, the external. Climbed against all physical boundaries of human body. Second, the internal, the mountain of doubts, insecurities, fear, low self esteem, and with all emotional boundaries.
Mountains test your limits and in this sedentary age, we are always downplaying our potential. Now the question is, when we don't fully test our potential, how do we truly know our limits?
Don't we know already that our limits are in our minds and we can push them by will. Since we are uncomfortable in pushing the boundary, and it causes pain, we conform to our original practice of staying in the comfort zone. But mountains are not even related to comfort. They push your limits of endurance; both physical and mental.
