Love liberates

"Love liberates. It doesn't just hold—that's ego. Love liberates. It doesn't bind. Love says, 'I love you. I love you if you're in China. I love you if you're across town. I love you if you're in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I'd like to have your arms around me. I'd like to hear your voice in my ear. But that's not possible now, so I love you. Go." -Maya Angelou .......... So I wrote a small piece of conversation below and shared with my friend to ask what did he think of this.  You can have a look too: "If you find someone better someday, you don't have to stay with me." ' And if You found someone who could make you happier, You don't have to stay with me either. You are free .' And that was one way they expressed their love for each other. .... What's your response? I will tell you my friend's response: "They both don't want to commit to each other." "Or are look...

Change

C hanges are good. It teaches you something new. But the catch is: you may not like it. In fact, it's not easy. It needs rewiring of brain cells that further requires personal effort.  Wouldn't it be better if we keep growing? Picture of the month: A few days back I left my home and went on a journey to an unknown destination. Took a train, reached a village and the rest is one of a memorable experience. It sounds naive, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do and it has no explanation. (Do it cautiously though). Personal Rambling: It kind of makes me sad to say that this is the final newsletter. I am so grateful to you for sticking with me and watching me go crazy with words and photos and whatnot. This small initiative was my way of expressing myself and talking/writing to people. Your replies and thoughts and support meant the world to me. Thank you ♡ I have grown in this while and changed as a person for the good—still a work in progress but more disciplined than b...

Hidden Treasure in You

H eard a lot about The Alchemist?   Everyone recommends it, no?  But what’s in it that makes people go crazy?  To be honest, I was annoyed at the fame.  So I read the book myself and found out.  Yes, the story mentioned in the book is garbage, stupid and comical.  Some would hate it for that.  But there’s something deeper I found.  Here’s my interpretation: We don’t know where our treasure is. That treasure is far away and we have to strive to get it, right?  Wrong.  The Alchemist proves that the treasure is right there, in you.  STILL, you can’t have it.  Why?   Because you are not worthy yet of decoding it.  The code is right there but you can’t figure it out.  Then how do you figure that out?  Answer: You have to undergo your journey.  ‘The longest way round is the shortest way home.’  There’s no way to find your treasure from the comfort of where you are.  You HAVE to get uncomfortabl...

The Big Switch: Newsletter #5

“ D honi finishes it off in style, India lifts the World Cup after 28 years" . 2 nd April 2011, Among the overexcited fans, there was one guy in the stadium who was worried.  He thought about the age of the Indian cricketers : ‘ many are younger than me ’! While everyone was celebrating the victory, he felt like a nobody .   ’Just an average guy living just another average life.’  Dhoni’s six brought him back to the ground. “The truth can do this to you. It can bring you down on your knees. But it is fair as well. It will give you a chance to stand again, provided you are willing to.” “Many people die in their 20s and are buried in their 80s.” Keith tried . He tried to find a way out of this vicious cycle.  Will he succeed in changing his life? Well, that is for you to read and feel.  But I will tell you one thing,  It shows how brutal the journey can be.   But but but, having said that,  It also shows that following your heart gi...

Anger

Do you get angry and then regret saying something you should have not? When we think of anger, we think of the times when we fought with someone or kept silent and suffered. Today while contemplating on anger, I came across a good understanding and I want to share with you. Anger is a form of energy. Agree? Let's throw out the assumption that anger is bad. Sometimes it is required. So proceed with an open mind. Anger may act as a catalyst towards some solution to a life's problem. It acts as motivation. We think anger is wrong whereas it is of 2 types: C onstructive and D estructive. Do we really need anger? Short answers: In career, yes. In relationship, maybe not. We need some kind of anger with problems to find solutions. Otherwise you must have heard about 'chalta hai' attitude in India. Compromise and adjustment: these doesn't need anger. We ignore our problems and our situation gets worse. It is called escapism. Escaping anger with the help of distractions can...

He knew he could do more.  But his managers and the lack of impact his work created kept bugging him. Being 23, was it too late to try searching for passion? How will he judge his life on his deathbed? Will he ever be happy doing this work? Or will he regret not taking a chance? He couldn't answer these questions. He just didn't know the answers.
