The year of change: Newsletter #2

Do you know why Gyms earn a major chunk of their annual subscription revenue in the first few days of January? Well we are 3 weeks down the year already. That leaves us with 50 more. (5.6% of the "new" year is already gone! Shocking, isn't it?) Setting resolutions is easier than implementing them. And you know why? Because it makes us feel good to set them. Through my experience of exercising last year, I have learnt that making habits will not make me feel good. And it's fine. It takes effort. Last week a friend of mine said and I quote the exact words, "This year, I am going for positive vibes. Anything that holds the power to destroy my inner peace and happiness, I am staying away. So, All I do is study now and mind my own business. That's my resolution." And that's powerful! What are your resolutions? I would love to know them. If it's waking up early, you have to set the right time to sleep and plan out something interesting to do in the mor...

  ~Don't let December end so soon~ Wait wait wait, what do you mean you don’t remember me? Hiiiiii everyone!! How are we doing? I have brought to you a piece of my mind with this mail. Fe el free to write back. _____     _____     _____     _____     _____ Reflections: ( The part where I talk about a book I read. ) - from the Book: When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi "I had mapped out this whole 40 year career for myself-the first 20 as a surgeon scientist, the last 20 as a writer. But now that I am likely well into my last 20 years, I don't know which career I should be pursuing." After knowing he has cancer and that his life is limited tofew years, Paul got lost and yet in his struggle, he taught us to face mortality. When his wife points out to him, "Don't you think saying goodbye to your child will make your death more painful?" He replied by saying, "Wouldn't it be great if it did?" And this book made me think deep into living....
